Job summary

Priority Management Group, LLC is seeking a full-time cook to join Resthaven Living Center in Bogalusa, LA. You will prepare and serve meals per the menu, oversee food handling, and maintain clean equipment in a care-focused kitchen.

You will provide nutritionally appropriate meals to residents, ensuring high-quality service and compliance with applicable regulations. Prior long-term care cooking experience is preferred along with a diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Two years as cook in a large-scale cooking operation preferred.
• One year’s work experience in long term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to the menu, monitor food handling methods, and ensure equipment cleanliness.
• Safely provide nutritionally appropriate food to residents to support health.
• Maintain quality food service and nutrition care in line with Federal, State and Local regulations.

Position Description

Responsible for preparing and serving meals according to the menu, monitoring methods of food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning. Safely and efficiently provides nutritionally appropriate food to residents for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing their overall health. Ensures the provision of quality food service and nutrition care in accordance to Federal, State and Local regulations.
