Job summary

Priority Management is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare and serve meals for residents, following menus and safety standards. The role focuses on quality nutrition and compliant food service within a long-term care setting.

Applicants should have a HS diploma or equivalent, and experience as a cook, preferably in long-term care, plus a Food Handler's certification to ensure safe food handling and service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Two years as cook in a large-scale operation preferred.
• One year’s work experience in long term care preferred.
• Food Handler's Certification required or necessary.

Position Description

Responsible for preparing and serving meals according to the menu, monitoring methods of food handling, preparation, meal service, and equipment cleaning. Safely and efficiently provides nutritionally appropriate food to residents for the purpose of maintaining and enhancing their overall health. Ensures the provision of quality food service and nutrition care in accordance to Federal, State and Local regulations.
