Job summary

Country Meadows is seeking a Cook for a part-time shift in Bethlehem, PA. The role involves cooking and preparing quality meals for residents, following standard recipes and maintaining high sanitation standards.

Hours are 6:30am–2:30pm, Saturdays and Sundays, with 15 hours bi-weekly and every other weekend/holiday off. We offer career paths, training programs, and a competitive benefits package including health, vision, dental, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and wellness

Qualifications

• At least one year of cooking or culinary experience.
• Flexibility to adjust to the needs of residents.
• Willingness to learn food preparation techniques and presentation.

• Ability to understand and speak English to perform job safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, cooks and packages recipes using broilers, ovens and kitchen equipment.
• Ensures all prep work is completed and standards met.
• Maintains sanitation and cleanliness of area and equipment.
• Cooks according to standard recipes and quality standards.
• Documents food and temperature records as required.

Cook Responsibilities:

• Prepares, cooks and packages recipes using broilers, ovens and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
• Ensures all prep work is completed.
• Understands and complies consistently with our standard recipes, quality standards and kitchen rules.
• Ensures quality of food at all times.
• Keeps area clean and maintains sanitation.
• Cleans all equipment according to cleaning procedures and cleaning schedules.
• Documents and completes food and temperature records.
• Use of Point of Service technology to obtain meal orders from residents, as needed.

Cook Requirements:

• At least one year of cooking or culinary experience.
