Job summary

Country Meadows Retirement Communities in Mechanicsburg, PA is hiring for a Cook. Pay starts at $19.50/hour with potential to earn more based on experience. Shift options include 6:00am–2:00pm and 11:00am–7:00pm, with every other weekend required.

As a Cook you will prepare quality meals for residents, follow standard recipes, maintain cleanliness, and use kitchen equipment. The role offers career development, training programs, and a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k)

• Keeps area clean and maintains sanitation.
• Cleans all equipment according to cleaning procedures and cleaning schedules.
• Documents and completes food and temperature records.

Cook Responsibilities:

• Use of Point of Service technology to obtain meal orders from residents, as needed.

Cook Requirements:

• At least one year of cooking or culinary experience.
• Flexibility to adjust to the needs of our residents.
• Willingness to learn food preparation techniques and presentation.
• Multi-tasking capabilities.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
• Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of the job.
