Job summary

Country Meadows Retirement Communities is seeking a Dining Server to support residents’ dining experiences. Pay starts at $14.00/hour (PT) or $15.00/hour (FT) with room to grow based on experience, plus benefits.

The role involves setting up dining spaces, engaging residents, and delivering high-quality service in a supportive environment at our Hershey, PA campuses.

Qualifications

• Experience in dining or service industry preferred.
• Ability to engage with residents and understand preferences.
• Must be able to read and understand English in a dining context.

Responsibilities

• Engage with residents by getting to know preferences and personal interests.
• Prepare dining room for meals and maintain cleanliness.
• Assist residents with menu sheets and order flow using POS as needed.
• Keep dishes and silverware sanitized and ensure a tidy work area.

Dining Server Responsibilities:

• Engage with residents by getting to know their preferences, special accommodations, personal interests and friendly exchanges.
• Prepares dining room for meals.
• Keeps all dining areas clean/maintains cleanliness and sanitation.
• Assists residents with menu selector sheets.
• Properly cleans and sanitizes the dishes and silverware per company standards.
• Is responsible for floor maintenance in the dish room, kitchen and dining areas.
• Maintains a clean, organized work environment.
• Use of Point of Service technology to obtain meal orders from residents, as needed.

Dining Server Requirements:

• Dining room/ Kitchen-related experience preferred.
• A positive customer service attitude demonstrating respect, friendliness and willingness to serve others.
• Ability to work and collaborate well with others.
• Multi-tasking capabilities
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
• Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of the job.
