Job summary

Country Meadows in Mechanicsburg, PA is seeking a Cook to prepare quality meals for residents. The role offers pay starting at $19.50/hour with opportunities for higher pay based on experience, and schedules including alternating weekends.

You will be responsible for cooking, following recipes, maintaining sanitation, and using Point of Service tech to obtain meal orders when needed. A passion for culinary arts and work-life balance is valued.

Shift: 6:00a-2:00p and 11:00a-7:00p includes working every OTHER weekend

Cook Responsibilities:

• Prepares, cooks and packages recipes using broilers, ovens and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
• Ensures all prep work is completed.
• Understands and complies consistently with our standard recipes, quality standards and kitchen rules.
• Ensures quality of food at all times.
• Keeps area clean and maintains sanitation.
• Cleans all equipment according to cleaning procedures and cleaning schedules.
• Documents and completes food and temperature records.
• Use of Point of Service technology to obtain meal orders from residents, as needed.

Cook Requirements:

• At least one year of cooking or culinary experience.
• Flexibility to adjust to the needs of our residents.
• Willingness to learn food preparation techniques and presentation.
• Multi-tasking capabilities.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
• Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of the job.
