Care Initiatives in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Part Time Day Cook to support residents with nutritious, well-balanced meals in a compassionate environment. You will contribute to menu planning and meal prep, ensuring dietary guidelines align with resident preferences while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.

Join our team to prepare meals that enhance comfort and dignity, follow food safety practices, and participate in training on Modified Diets.

Formación

• Quantity food preparation and service experience.
• Willingness to complete training in Food Safety, Sanitation, and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to menu planning and meal preparation, ensuring nutritional guidelines and resident preferences are met.
• Prepare and serve meals that create a dignified dining experience and support resident comfort and quality of life.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and attractively presented according to dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Develop positive, respectful relationships with residents and incorporate feedback into meal service.

What You’ll Do & Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to menu planning and meal preparation, bringing creativity and personal flair while meeting nutritional guidelines and resident preferences.
• Prepare and serve meals that create an enjoyable, dignified dining experience and support residents’ comfort, satisfaction, and quality of life.
• Ensure meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and attractively presented in accordance with dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Develop positive, respectful relationships with residents by engaging with them and incorporating feedback into meal service whenever possible.

What it takes to become a Cook with Care Initiatives:

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food, Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting a plus!
