Job summary

BNY is seeking a Summer Internship in the Office of the COO in New York. The internship offers exposure to operational excellence, governance, and enterprise enablement within a global financial services context.

Interns will support strategic COO initiatives, conduct analyses, track milestones, and explore AI-driven improvements. Eligible students should be pursuing a 4-year undergrad, graduating Dec 2027 or May 2028, with a 3.0+ GPA and no sponsorship required.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program is preferred.
• Graduating in Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.).
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives within the Chief Operating Office (COO).
• Conduct research and analysis on operational processes, performance metrics, and business priorities.
• Help track action items, risks, milestones, and deliverables across ongoing projects.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Assist with documentation of business procedures, workflows, and governance materials.
• Support AI initiatives by researching use cases, documenting opportunities, and helping teams understand where adoption could improve processes or decision-making.
