Job summary

BNY Mellon’s 2027 Summer Internship Program in the Office of the COO offers a 10-week experience designed to accelerate development in business management, governance, and operational strategy within a global financial services leader.

Interns will gain exposure to enterprise priorities, work on real project work, receive structured mentorship, and build professional networks across practices and platforms while developing practical skills in analytics, reporting, and execution discipline.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a strong focus on business-related and/or technology-related majors preferred.
• Graduating in Dec 2027 or May 2028 (U.S.)
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
• Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the country where applying.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day activities and strategic initiatives within the Chief Operating Office (COO)
• Conduct research and analysis on operational processes, performance metrics, and business priorities
• Help track action items, risks, milestones, and deliverables across ongoing projects
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency
• Assist with documentation of business procedures, workflows, and governance materials
• Support AI initiatives by researching use cases, documenting opportunities, and helping teams understand where adoption could improve processes or decision-making.
