Job summary

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the YMCA of Florida’s First Coast is a senior executive who leads strategic and operational efforts across multiple facilities, driving mission impact and operational excellence.

The role partners with the CEO, leadership team, and board to grow membership, manage facilities, and ensure financial sustainability while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and belonging.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of executive or senior leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; advanced degree a plus.
• YMCA Organizational Leader certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Demonstrated success leading large-scale, multi-site operations.
• Strong financial and business acumen with budgeting and forecasting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations and strategy across multi-site YMCA locations.
• Develop high-performing leadership teams through mentoring and succession planning.
• Drive membership growth, engagement, and community impact.
• Oversee facilities, capital priorities, and asset management.
