Job summary

The League of Conservation Voters in Washington, DC is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to lead the organization’s operations across finance, HR, administration, and infrastructure for a $150 million nonprofit. You will partner with the President, Executive Team and Board to ensure efficient, values-driven operations and strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of professional experience in finance, human resources and operations in advocacy, political or campaign organizations, government or philanthropy.
• At least 5 years serving as the COO, CFO, or comparable role of a mid-to-large sized, multi-entity organization.
• Demonstrated track record of leading high‑performing operational functions to achieve ambitious goals at a complex organization.

Responsibilities

• Drive intersection of operations with organizational strategy and programs; align functions, systems, processes and procedures.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting and long-term financial planning.
• Oversee HR, administration and talent management aligned to organizational goals.
• Provide executive oversight of operational infrastructure, IT resources, systems and data strategy.
• Promote organizational values, equity and an inclusive culture across all operations.
