League of Conservation Voters, Inc. (LCV) seeks a Vice President of Government Relations & Political Affairs in Washington, DC. The role leads federal government relations strategy and political activities, reporting to the Senior VP of Government Affairs, with four senior staff and three direct reports.

• At least 10 years in issue advocacy, on Capitol Hill, or with electoral campaigns.
• Experience with budgets, coalition-building, lobbying.
• Ability to set high-level strategy and connect political strategy to campaigns.
• Commitment to racial justice and equity in work.
• Experience supervising and developing teams.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute a comprehensive federal government relations strategy.
• Serve as senior lobbyist and external representative with Congress and staff.
• Manage federal candidate endorsements and engagement with campaigns and political committees.
• Oversee coordinated political activities including the LCV Action Fund; develop new systems for communications with officials.
• Lead program efforts to influence 2028 presidential candidates.
• Advise on GiveGreen fundraising strategy at the federal and state levels.
• Shape communications messaging and guide polling and other message research.
• Supervise a team of three direct reports and mentor staff.
• Collaborate across departments on strategy and fundraising efforts.
• Build and maintain relationships with environmental partners and coalitions.
• Travel within DC regularly; travel outside DC up to 20% for meetings and events.
• Advance equity and racial justice within government relations and operations.
