Job summary

Continental is seeking a maintenance technician to provide scheduled and emergency repairs on conveyor systems. You will read manuals, interpret blueprints, perform mechanical, electrical and fabrication tasks, and conduct preventive maintenance to keep lines running.

Safety compliance is essential, with OSHA/MSHA/DOT guidelines followed. The role requires strong mechanical skills, welding, rigging, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems across facilities.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical background with bearing installation and fluid power knowledge.
• Basic blueprint reading and general knowledge of conveyor systems.
• Welding SMAW, GMAW and TIG; cutting with OXY, PLASMA and AIR ARC when required.
• Proper rigging and signaling for hoisting operations; safety focused.
• Observes conveyor operations to detect defects or malfunctions; laser alignment knowledge.
• General fabrication and layout abilities; reads metal rules for measurements.

Responsibilities

• Provides scheduled and emergency repairs to customer conveyor systems.
• Performs setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Reads equipment manuals and work orders to perform required service.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, MSHA and DOT regulations.
