Job summary

W.W. Grainger, Inc. is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to diagnose and repair conveyor systems, electrical controls, and related building systems in our Louisville, KY operations.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, PLC programming, and ensuring safe, reliable performance of material handling equipment. Candidates should have 5+ years of maintenance experience, familiarity with CMMS tools, and knowledge of electrical systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of building and equipment maintenance with two years maintaining Dematic or similar conveyor systems.
• Experience with AC drives (set-up, programming, faults) is preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft and CMMS programs.
• Experience reading and interpreting MEO drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Respond to system issues involving conveyors and related control systems.
• Perform troubleshooting/diagnostics and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Design, implement, and document PLC programming changes for automated equipment where authorized.
• Operate material handling equipment and work in distribution center environments.
• Be on-call for 24-hour rotation.
