Job summary

Brobston Group is seeking a Facilities Technician 1 to support preventive maintenance and repairs for building material handling equipment at a fulfillment center. You will work with the Operations team to troubleshoot equipment and support maintenance projects.

You will troubleshoot conveyors and related control systems, operate forklifts and tools, and document work orders with labor hours and parts used. Strong communication and physical stamina are essential for shifts up to 12 hours.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with conveyors, electrical systems and building maintenance.
• Knowledge of material handling equipment operation and repair.
• Knowledge of power, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools.
• Basic knowledge of control systems and PLCs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for up to 12 hours

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures and help maintain a safe working environment.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair material handling systems and conveyors.
• Support troubleshooting of relay logic, control components, and related systems.
• Safely operate forklifts, lifts, hand tools, and other equipment.
• Create and close work orders, recording labor hours, maintenance, and parts used.
• Collaborate with departments across the facility and support maintenance solutions for operational challenges.
