Job summary

The role requires reading schematics, using hand and power tools, and adhering to lockout/tagout safety practices. You will document activities and support inventory and upgrades as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical repair, especially with conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure long-term equipment reliability.
• Strong reading of electrical schematics and diagrams is essential.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds and perform bending, twisting, and pulling as needed.
• Focus on safety with knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and safe work practices.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming used conveyor systems and components to identify wear, damage, and potential issues.
• Perform mechanical and electrical repairs, including belts, bearings, motors, and drives.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems under time pressure.
• Test repaired/refurbished equipment to ensure safe operation and performance.
• Accurately complete work orders and maintain detailed maintenance records.
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety regulations, including lockout/tagout.
• Assist with upgrades, modifications, and installation as needed for resale of equipment.
