Job summary

FMH Conveyors, a Duravant family company, seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer in Jonesboro, AR to design flexible and rigid conveyors and related equipment. You will work with a team of engineers and CAD designers, develop BOMs/MOMs in ERP, and model in Inventor/SolidWorks.

The role involves occasional electrical schematics, shop-floor collaboration, and travel to customer sites to ensure installed systems meet specifications.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 5–10 years in engineering and design of manufactured equipment.
• Ability to read technical procedures and write reports.

Responsibilities

• Design conveyors, components and sub-components.
• Interface with engineers and CAD designers for assignments.
• Check drawings, BOMs and MOMs in the ERP system.
• Develop electrical schematics for power and controls (as applicable).
• Troubleshoot problems with engineered products.
• Perform structural analyses (deflection, stability).
• Create 3-D CAD models and 2-D drawings (Inventor/AutoCAD).
• Produce material requirements and BOM data from raw materials.
• Travel to customer sites to evaluate installations and ensure satisfaction.
• Support Lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce scrap and costs.
