Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical material handling equipment, including conveyors and forklifts, in a Houston facility. The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, welding ability, and the flexibility to handle emergency repairs and overtime as needed.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of mechanical experience in distribution/manufacturing, can troubleshoot basic systems, and stay organized with work orders and parts

Qualifications

• Must have command of basic manual hand tools (drills, grinders, saws).
• Ability to weld and utilize a cutting torch.
• Knowledge of basic facility repairs (painting, minor plumbing, lighting).
• Forklift, pallet jack, scissor lift, and boom lift operation certification preferred.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Overtime and weekend shifts may be required.
• 1–2 years of progressive mechanical experience in distribution or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on mechanical material handling equipment (conveyors, sortation systems, forklifts).
• Carry out maintenance projects on conveyors (installation, removal, and changes).
• Perform emergency mechanical repairs to failed systems.
• Do scheduled and unscheduled repairs to facility equipment.
• Identify and locate required repair parts.
• Maintain accurate records (work orders, time sheets, parts requests).
