Job summary

Performance Team is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair conveyor systems and related equipment in a warehouse environment in Groveport, OH. The role emphasizes troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and documentation to minimize downtime.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience, hands-on ability with tools, and strong mechanical aptitude. OSHA and LOTO safety practices are required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience working with conveyor systems.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and standard maintenance equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to document work electronically.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical components including bearings, rollers, belts, chains, sprockets, motors, and gearboxes.
• Assist in troubleshooting basic electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Observe equipment operation and identify potential mechanical failures or performance issues.
• Remove, repair, or replace defective components to restore equipment functionality.
• Test equipment following repairs to verify safe and proper operation.
• Assist with installation and modification of conveyors and related equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities according to established schedules and procedures.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, misalignment, lubrication deficiencies, and other maintenance concerns.
• Complete lubrication, belt adjustments, component replacements, and routine maintenance activities.
• Document maintenance findings and report equipment concerns to maintenance leadership.
• Support efforts to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work order documentation.
• Record labor hours, repairs completed, and parts used.
• Assist with identifying replacement parts and inventory requirements.
• Communicate equipment issues and repair status to maintenance leadership.
• Follow OSHA, LOTO, machine guarding, PPE, and safety requirements.
• Report hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately.
