Job summary

Capital Rubber and Gasket in Stockton, CA is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor belt systems and related components. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position serving customers throughout Northern California.

The role requires practical mechanical experience, welding knowledge for simple field welds, and the ability to work independently on-site with a strong safety focus and effective communication with customers and team

Qualifications

• Experience installing and repairing conveyor systems.
• Basic welding knowledge for simple field welds.
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor belt systems and related components.
• Diagnose mechanical issues including bearings, motors, gearboxes, pulleys, and guards.
• Remove and replace worn components using hand/power tools and measuring equipment.
• Service belt scrapers, brackets, and vulcanizing-related hardware.
• Perform basic field welding and light fabrication as needed.
• Carry out safe lifting and operate in diverse job-site environments.
