Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a Conveyor Mechanic for our distribution center. The role conducts maintenance and repair on conveyors and wrapping machines across a 1.3 million sq ft DC, ensuring safe operation per OSHA standards.

The position operates on a third shift, Sunday through Thursday, 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a high emphasis on preventive maintenance, safety, and timely repairs to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• Knowledge of building machinery and safety systems desired.
• Experience in conveyor maintenance/repair preferred in DC/warehouse.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on conveyor and wrapping equipment; document maintenance.
• Lubricate, troubleshoot, and repair DC machinery on a daily basis.
• Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical problems in conveyor and wrapping systems.
• Assist in emergency breakdown repairs as directed.
• Follow safety regulations and achieve required certifications.
