Ocean State Job Lot in North Kingstown, RI, is seeking a skilled Conveyor Mechanic for our 1.3 million square foot Distribution Center. You will diagnose and repair conveyor and wrapping systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation across the DC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2–3 years of conveyor maintenance and repair experience in a warehouse or DC.
• Ability to operate powered industrial equipment and obtain required licenses.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• Knowledge of conveyor, mechanical and safety systems; NFPA codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and wrapping equipment; document work.
• Lubricate, troubleshoot, and repair DC machinery.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems in conveyor systems.
• Carry out emergency repairs as directed by the Conveyor Maintenance Manager.
• Recommend improvements and modifications to maintenance leadership.
• Adhere to safety regulations and complete training.
• Operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and pallet jacks used by the conveyor team.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and minimize downtime.
