Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a Conveyor Mechanic for its 1.3 million square foot distribution center. You will maintain and repair conveyors and wrapping machines, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and ensure safety standards and OSHA compliance.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 2–3 years of conveyor maintenance experience, ability to operate powered equipment, and OSHA 30‑hour certification. Knowledge of NFPA codes and safety systems is required.

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of related professional experience in conveyor maintenance and repair, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Ability to operate powered industrial equipment and achieve any applicable license.
• Knowledge of NFPA regulations, conveyor related codes, and safety systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on conveyor and wrapping equipment and document records.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems and perform repairs.
• Operate scissor lifts, fork trucks, and pallet jacks as needed.
• Adhere to safety regulations and participate in safety trainings.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and minimize downtime.
