Job summary

Ocean State Job Lot is seeking a Conveyor Mechanic for our 1.3 million‑square‑foot Distribution Center. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and safety issues, performing preventive maintenance on conveyors and wrapping machines to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairs, and adhering to OSHA and NFPA safety standards while operating scissor lifts, forklifts, and pallet jacks. OSHA 30 training is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2–3 years of related conveyor maintenance experience in warehouse or DC.
• Ability to operate powered industrial equipment and obtain license.
• OSHA 30-hour certification required.
• Knowledge of NFPA regulations and conveyor-related codes.
• Proficiency with Google platform (Sites/Slides/Drive/Docs/Sheets) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors and wrapping equipment and document activities.
• Lubricate, troubleshoot, and repair DC machinery daily.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on conveyor systems.
• Perform emergency repairs as directed by Maintenance Manager.
• Recommend improvements and modifications to the Maintenance Manager.
• Adhere to safety regulations and complete required training.
