Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Conveyor Belt Technician / Maintenance Technician to join our team in Shreveport, LA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of conveyor belt systems and other mechanical equipment in our facility. This role involves ensuring that systems are running efficiently and minimizing downtime through proactive maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair conveyor belt systems and related mechanical equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on conveyor systems, motors, and related components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues that may arise in the conveyor belt systems.
• Replace conveyor belts and components as needed, ensuring systems are running at optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations during all maintenance activities.
• Assist with the installation and alignment of new conveyor systems and other machinery.
• Record and document maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and time spent.
• Work with the maintenance team to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and reliability.
• Perform other general maintenance duties as needed, including basic electrical and mechanical tasks.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Conveyor Belt Technician or Maintenance Technician is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, conveyor belt operations, and maintenance procedures.
• Experience with basic electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Ability to work safely and follow all company and industry safety protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
