Job summary

Gresham Smith is seeking an experienced Conveyance Engineer for our Georgia offices to design pump stations and conveyance systems, leading portions of projects under a Senior Engineer. You will perform hydraulic modeling, prepare calculations and cost estimates, and support field and client coordination for wastewater and stormwater projects in the Southeast.

The role emphasizes independent design and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, with a focus on delivering high-quality results

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil/Environmental/Chemical Eng or related field required.
• P.E. licensure required.
• 6+ years of experience in water, wastewater, and stormwater/conveyance projects in a consultant role preferred; ability to lead design portions.
• Detailed civil design experience for pump stations and conveyance systems; demonstrated pump station design ability.
• Proficient with MS Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic/stormwater modeling software.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to contribute to client meetings and technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Design pump stations and conveyance systems; lead portions of pump station design under Senior Engineer guidance.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling for conveyance systems (stormwater, gravity, and pressure).
• Prepare design calculations, technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support construction with field visits, submittal reviews, and contractor coordination.
• Support client relationships and help communicate project goals to ensure expectations are met.
• Review drawings, perform code research, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
