Gresham Smith in Dallas is seeking a Project Engineer (Conveyance) in the Water + Environment Market to lead pump station and conveyance designs. You’ll work independently on detailed designs under a Senior Engineer and contribute to projects for clients in the Southeast.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or higher in Civil, Environmental, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure is required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience on water, wastewater, and stormwater/conveyance projects.
• Detailed design experience for pump stations and conveyance systems.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Office, and hydraulic modeling.

Responsibilities

• As Project Engineer, design pump stations and conveyance systems under a Senior Engineer.
• Perform hydraulic modeling for conveyance systems and related work.
• Prepare design calculations, technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Support construction with field visits, submittals, and contractor coordination.
• Support client relationships and communicate project goals to stakeholders.
• Review drawings, perform code research, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
