Job summary
Hood Container Chicago is seeking a Converting Superintendent to drive safety, quality, and efficiency in our converting operations. You will lead shift supervisors and partner with plant management to meet production goals at one of our largest corrugated box plants.
The role requires five+ years in supervision within the corrugated industry, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem solving. Competitive pay, quarterly bonuses, and comprehensive benefits are offered.
Qualifications
- Five+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/corrugated setting.
- Experience in a superintendent role is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.
- Ability to analyze complex production issues and implement solutions.
- Commitment to safety and quality in operations.
Responsibilities
- Champion safety and quality standards across converting operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop shift supervisors.
- Oversee all aspects of the converting department for seamless operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements and cost controls.
- Collaborate with plant management, scheduling, HR, and other teams.
- Manage inventory, maintenance, and staffing to sustain continuous operations.
- Contribute to annual budget and capital planning.
