Job summary

Sofidel America seeks an experienced CNV Procurement Manager to support Converting operations and lead strategic sourcing initiatives. You will develop procurement strategies, negotiate with suppliers, and drive cost optimization while partnering with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality teams.

This strategic role requires a manufacturing background, strong supplier market knowledge, and the ability to build effective relationships across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or related function in manufacturing.
• Strong experience developing sourcing strategies and leading complex supplier negotiations.
• Experience evaluating suppliers, proposals, market conditions, pricing and cost drivers.
• Demonstrated success in strategic supplier relationships and cost savings.
• Strong commercial/financial acumen with analytical skills.
• Cross-functional collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Quality.
• Experience in tissue/paper/converting or high-volume manufacturing preferred.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Excel and data analysis skills required.

• Identify and mitigate supplier/market risks and supply disruptions.
• Support strategic projects, new equipment or technology implementations, and procurement involvement.
• Develop and monitor procurement KPIs and report on savings and risks.
• Share supplier information and best practices with U.S. and global teams.
• Support sustainable sourcing practices through supplier evaluation.

Sofidel America is seeking an experienced CNV Procurement Manager to support our Converting operations. This role will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and identifying opportunities to improve costs and supplier performance. The CNV Procurement Manager will work closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and our global Procurement team to support the needs of our U.S. converting operations.

This is a strategic procurement role, not a traditional purchasing position. We are looking for someone with a strong manufacturing background who understands supplier markets, is comfortable leading complex negotiations, and can build effective relationships with suppliers and teams throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies that support the needs and objectives of Sofidel's Converting operations.
• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships with a focus on performance, competitiveness, reliability, quality, service, and long-term value.
• Work closely with Converting Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality, and other teams to understand business needs and develop effective procurement solutions.
• Identify and deliver opportunities for cost optimization, cost avoidance, supplier consolidation, improved commercial terms, and overall value creation.
• Evaluate supplier capabilities and performance and work with suppliers and internal teams to address issues and improve performance.
• Identify supplier, market, and supply continuity risks and develop strategies to minimize potential disruptions to the business.
• Support strategic projects, operational initiatives, new equipment or technology implementations, and other projects requiring Procurement involvement.
• Develop and monitor procurement KPIs and provide updates on supplier performance, savings, risks, and opportunities.
• Work closely with Sofidel's U.S. and global Procurement teams to share supplier information, market knowledge, sourcing opportunities, and best practices.
• Support Sofidel's responsible and sustainable sourcing practices through supplier evaluation and engagement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or a related function, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience developing sourcing strategies and independently leading complex supplier and commercial negotiations.
• Experience evaluating suppliers, commercial proposals, market conditions, pricing, and cost drivers to support procurement decisions.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing strategic supplier relationships and monitoring supplier performance.
• Proven ability to identify and deliver measurable cost savings, cost avoidance, and other opportunities that improve business performance.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Quality, and other business functions.
• Experience within tissue, paper, converting, packaging, consumer products, or another high-volume manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• SAP experience is preferred.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and strategic initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to travel as required.
