Georgia-Pacific’s Wauna Mill in Oregon is seeking a Converting Process Control Lead to drive control-system strategy and lead a skilled team. You will oversee projects, optimize reliability, and collaborate with mill personnel to deliver value across converting operations.

The role requires leadership experience in manufacturing controls, strong problem-solving, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with process control systems and PLCs.
• Proven leadership of process control staff in manufacturing.
• Capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for converting control systems and leadership of the Process Control Team in converting
• Develop the capability of individual members of team members
• Lead the development, planning, and execution of controls strategy for simultaneous projects and support activities
• Accountable for execution of controls projects and initiatives. Includes system design, testing, component specification, documentation management, vendor/contractor management, equipment procurement, installation and start-up support
• Provide process control support for controls optimization, reliability and quality improvement initiatives, cost reduction efforts, capital projects, and safety initiatives
• Prioritize resources toward mill strategies and opportunities with highest value
