Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Senior Converting Department Manager to lead a large plant's pouching operations. You will oversee safety, quality, productivity, and cost with four supervisors and more than 100 hourly staff.

You will drive safety programs with the EHS Manager, enforce 5S and GMP standards, establish KPI-driven oversight, and guide continuous improvement initiatives. Strong leadership, budget discipline, and plant-wide collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent
• 7+ years in a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years supervisory/leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Safety leadership and policies with EHS Manager
• Set safety, quality, waste and productivity standards
• Manage KPI-based PCS and shift meetings
• Lead CI opportunities and ensure updated standards
• Provide performance feedback to staff
• Supervise Shift Supervisors and HR-related actions
• Represent Best Practice teams and implement changes
• Investigate injuries/near misses and follow up actions
• Ensure SOCs are in place and followed
• Promote a strong safety culture and Amcor values
