Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking an Assistant - Converting to support our manufacturing operations at Forest City, NC. You will operate converting machines, perform routine quality checks, and ensure GMP and safety procedures are followed to maintain high product quality and on-time production.

This role requires 1-3 years in manufacturing, strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and basic data entry with Microsoft Excel for reporting. Experience with Lean Manufacturing is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in manufacturing or production environment.
• Thorough knowledge of converting machine operation.
• Understanding of GMPs and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of quality assurance principles and KPIs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data entry and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Operate converting machines and related equipment, ensuring optimal performance and output.
• Conduct routine quality checks and document data to meet KPIs and quality standards.
• Maintain GMP and safety procedures to keep a compliant working environment.
• Assist in planning daily production runs and manage material flow.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
• Record production data, parameters, and quality metrics using Excel for reporting.
• Contribute ideas for Lean manufacturing and process improvements.
• Communicate production status and issues with the team and supervision.
