Pratt Industries in Carlisle, AL is hiring a Machine Helper to support converting operations. You will assist with setup, operation, cleanup, and improvements of converting machines, and ensure quality and safety standards are met.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, reliable work history, and willingness to work on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Wage starts at $19.80 per hour and increases with shift experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Solid prior work history is required.
• Good references are required.

Responsibilities

• Set up rails, print, and die cut section on converting machine accurately.
• Inspect dies before and after run and perform repairs as needed.
• Ensure bolts for cutting dies are in place and secured.
• Monitor box quality for defects such as loose liner, warp, size, and print.
• Maximize machine utilization by operating at full capacity and speed.
• Train and assist teammates with job duties on the machine.
• Cross-train on other machines and complete reports on production and safety data.
• Adhere to maintenance and safety policies and respond to repairs promptly.
