Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a Machine Operator - Converting at our Holbrook, MA facility. The role runs Monday through Friday, 6:00am to 2:00pm, on-site, with a starting pay rate of $21 per hour.

You will safely set up and operate converting machinery, monitor production, ensure quality, and assist with maintenance and training of crew members. This position requires HS/GED, 2-4 years of related experience, and a strong focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required; HS/GED preferred.
• 2-4 years' experience in a related field.
• This position has no leadership duties.
• Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
• Exceptional time management and organization skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.
• Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision-making; able to identify problems and develop solutions and/or options.
• Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely sets up, operates, and monitors converting machinery and equipment to meet production goals.
• Completes machine setup for production runs, including loading materials and calibrating equipment.
• Monitors production, inspects materials and equipment to meet quality standards and quotas.
• Verifies and tracks materials for inventory and work in progress.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and performs routine maintenance.
• Trains and guides machine assistants and new crew members.
• Keeps machinery and surroundings clean and organized; follows PPE requirements.
