Job summary

ProAmpac is seeking a dedicated night-shift operator to run and maintain a converting bag machine in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will read orders, perform quality checks, and ensure materials meet specs while supporting a safe, efficient plant operation.

The role requires independent work, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Training is provided, with a 2-2-3 schedule and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues on the floor and make quick decisions.
• Physically capable of standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a converting bag machine.
• Adjust, repair, and maintain machinery with guidance from maintenance staff.
• Train operators for minor adjustments and repairs.
• Read work orders to ensure correct material use and quality specs.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet standards.
• Provide feedback on machine upkeep to supervisors.
• Set print and gauge printers.
• Lead safely and maintain high quality, low waste operations.
• Delegate tasks to team members as needed.
• Enforce safety policies and work overtime when required.
