Job summary

PMI Entertainment Group in Green Bay, WI is seeking a Conversion Crew member to support setup and teardown activities at the Resch Complex. You will help install tables, seating, floor coverings, and arena equipment before events, and assist in returning everything to storage afterward.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Approximately 6–12 months related work experience preferred to understand show/conversion operations.
• Ability to operate forklifts and hand tools with proper safety training.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 100 pounds during events.

Responsibilities

• Set up before events: erecting structures, tables, seating, floor coverings, and equipment.
• Tear down after events: dismantle and store equipment properly.
• Assist cleaning crews and follow safety programs and procedures.
• Communicate with staff and contractors to ensure client needs are met.
• Operate or assist in operating required equipment per training.

General Summary:

Responsible for performing set-up and tear-down duties before and after events in the Resch Complex.

Job Duties:

• Demonstrates and embodies the PMI Entertainment Group Culture and Customer Service values.


• Performs set-up duties before an event such as setting up tables, erecting hockey dashers, laying down the basketball floor, installing the ice rink, etc.


• Performs tear-down duties after an event such as tearing down the hockey dashers, tables, chairs, curtains, etc.


• Places all equipment in respective storage areas after an event is torn down.


• Assists the clean-up crew in various cleaning activities in the Complex, as needed.


• Responsible for following, observing, and participating in all Company related safety programs, procedures, and training, as well as reporting potentially unsafe procedures.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Knowledge of maintenance at a level normally acquired through the completion of high school.


• Approximately 6 to 12 months related work experience necessary to gain a full understanding of show and conversion operations.


• Analytical skills necessary to assign work to part-time staff or to revise show layouts to meet building codes.


• Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with all levels of company personnel, outside contractors, and sales personnel when discussing clients’ needs and to direct subordinate personnel.


• Must be able to operate forklift (in-house training will be required), hand tools, drill press, circular and table saws, Zamboni (not required, but experience is a plus).


• Must be able to operate a drill press, skill and table saws and hand tools.


• Full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity to operate conversion equipment.


• Eye-hand coordination to operate equipment such as a truck or forklift.


• Standing, climbing, bending, and walking for extensive periods of time.


• Frequently handles and lifts, carries, or pulls items weighing up to 100 pounds.


• Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery.


• Must be able to distinguish and identify colors.


• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Other Expectations:

• Frequent mobility and/or sitting, standing, bending, or reaching for extensive periods of time.


• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer and standard office equipment.


• Requires hearing within normal range and eyesight correctable to 20/20 to read communications, reports, and computer terminals.


• Requires working in a fast-paced environment and on occasion, irregular work hours as dictated by schedule of events.


• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by event schedule.


• Requires public contact and excellent interpersonal skills.


• Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with daily workload and a variety of people.


• Normal work environment includes working indoors at the Complex.
