Job description

Job Summary

Conversion Crew member is responsible for converting the building for various events, including installation and removal of the basketball floor, retractable seating, stages, moving furniture, and other duties involving set up for each event. This physically demanding position requires candidates to work in a fast‑paced team environment and be available to work a flexible schedule revolving around the event calendar as needed. It includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. This is a great part‑time, year‑round opportunity where working hours are event driven.

Essential Duties
  • Assist with event setups, changeovers, and operational tasks as directed by the manager and supervisor, which may include tables, flooring, risers, and portable seating.
  • Perform facility operational tasks on non‑event days, including storage of equipment, furniture, and tools, and identifying damaged equipment.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of all equipment; arrange for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
  • Work with other in‑house staff to meet production requirements and fulfill promoter/client requests.
  • Contribute to the team dynamic by assisting coworkers, maintaining a safe and clean work area, and helping develop and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of event changeovers and setups.
  • Ability to read, communicate, and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Ability to multi‑task and function in a fast‑paced environment while meeting deadlines efficiently and safely.
  • Professional interaction with co‑workers and the general public.
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs., kneel, stoop, bend, climb stairs, and reach/lift above head.
  • Working knowledge of assembly operations equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, staging equipment, trussing, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Compliance with proper safety policies and procedures (e.g., using cleaning chemicals, reporting incidents).
  • Reliable attendance and availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as the event schedule requires.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Forklift certification.
  • Knowledge of staging and production equipment.
