Job summary

Atlantic Track & Turnout Co. in Richmond, Illinois, is hiring a Conventional Machining Operator to run manual milling machines for precision components. Schedule: permanent 2nd shift, Monday–Thursday, 3:00pm–1:30am; training on 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm.

You’ll set up and operate manual mills, adjust offsets, assemble and index cutters, and use an overhead crane. Applicants need a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years machining experience, with ability to read production drawings

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machining experience required.
• Ability to read and understand production drawings.
• Knowledge of feeds, speeds, and chip load; solid tooling fundamentals.
• On-site availability in Richmond, IL with overtime willingness.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual milling machines and adjust offsets to maintain part conformance.
• Assemble and index milling cutters and inserts for the job.
• Use an overhead crane to load and unload parts safely.
• Measure in-process and final features and document results per quality requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe workstation and collaborate with toolroom and programming staff.
