Job Overview

The Convention Services Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising banquet and event services, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining operational excellence.

Responsibilities

1. Maintain a reliable work schedule and adhere to it diligently.

8. Ensure a safe work environment by complying with all safety and security protocols.
9. Comply with applicable laws and ordinances related to hotel operations.
10. Be familiar with emergency procedures for various situations.
11. Negotiate with guests and clients for banquets and functions, including menu suggestions, room setup, and other arrangements, and communicate these to relevant departments.
12. Coordinate with setup staff to optimize facility utilization for catering functions.
13. Prepare and manage inventory of catering supplies, obtaining approval from the General Manager.
14. Train, supervise, and coordinate banquet staff and captains.
15. Solicit banquet business, record bookings, and finalize event details.
16. Handle changes to Banquet Event Orders (BEO) effectively.
17. Finalize BEO details through customer contact and communication with the sales department.
18. Achieve or surpass booking goals through direct customer engagement.
19. Prepare weekly forecasts for banquet functions.
20. Provide hotel site tours to prospective clients.
21. Perform additional duties as required.
