Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas is seeking a Convention Sales Coordinator to support multiple Sales Executives in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment. You will draft agreements, prepare business documents, coordinate projects, and handle reservations and travel arrangements for our convention business.

Ideal candidates are highly organized, with 1+ years in guest service, strong customer service and interpersonal skills, and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of prior relevant guest service experience required.
  • Tech savvy is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

  • Process reservations, confirmations, cancellations, special handling alerts, and amenities.
  • Manage travel advisor requests and liaison with the property operations teams to execute requests, own inbox and distribute to other departments as needed.
  • Be a resource on activities, services and amenities within our resort.
  • Set up site/FAM tour agendas, coordinate with properties to prepare keys, set up dining and coordinate as needed with clients.
  • Manage and maintain schedules, appointments, conference calls, and travel arrangements for Hotel Sales executives.
  • Prepare expense reports and maintain files to highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Provide excellent service consistent with the property's core service standards and brand attributes and maintain positive working relationships and partnerships with clients and employees by understanding their expectations and anticipating their needs.
  • Assist in responding to customer correspondence and requests as needed, and in Executives absence.

THE JOB:

Join our team as a Convention Sales Coordinator and play a key role in supporting multiple Sales Executives within a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment. In this role, you'll assist with a variety of operational, administrative, and strategic tasks that support the success of the convention business, including drafting agreements, preparing business documents, coordinating projects, booking reservations and travel arrangements, and helping ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
