Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a Controls Technician for a day shift in the southwest suburban Atlanta, GA area. You will design and integrate controls, build PLC panels, and program and commission automated equipment.

Responsibilities include pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC troubleshooting, and robot controllers along with general maintenance and support tasks across production lines. The role requires extensive hands-on experience with motors, sensors, and safety circuits, plus the ability to

Qualifications

• Desire at least 6 years of related experience.
• PLC programming with confidence using PLC context clues.
• Ability to program a machine process from scratch.
• Wiring a 9-lead motor and stress testing windings.
• Identify critical info from motor data plates for specs.
• Familiarity with sensors: PNP, NPN, loop-powered, dry contact.
• Analog control: 4-20mA and 0-10V.
• Ladder logic troubleshooting.
• Panel building experience.
• Electrical experience and some robotics.
• Safety circuit integration.
• Must be authorized to work indefinitely in the USA without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Install pneumatics: air logic from prints or schematics.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits with valves, cylinders, and controls.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems using a computer.
• Install, program, or repair programmable controllers and robot controllers.
• Use knowledge of fabrication equipment to complete maintenance tasks.
• Operate or oversee equipment operation.
• Analyze and categorize events within equipment.
• Work with engineers and production to achieve output.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Repair machine controls, systems and tools as needed.
• Disassemble or re-assemble equipment to repair parts.
• Train others to install, use and service equipment.
