Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials in Scranton, PA is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to maintain electrical, automation, and control systems in a 24/7 manufacturing setting. You will install, troubleshoot, and support PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks while collaborating with maintenance, operations, and MES teams.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and program PLCs, HMIs, and industrial control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with multiple PLC/SCADA platforms listed in the job posting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a manufacturing setting.
• Good verbal and written communication; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and troubleshoot electrical and controls systems for manufacturing equipment.
• Verify proper operation of control systems, wiring, safety circuits, and machine interlocks.
• Diagnose PLC/HMI issues to minimize downtime and update programs as needed.
• Modify, download, and maintain PLC and HMI programs with documentation of changes.
• Update controller firmware; maintain version control of PLC/HMI software.
• Create, update, and maintain electrical schematics, control drawings, and system documentation.
• Provide technical support for PLCs, HMIs, MES, and related automation systems 24/7.
• Analyze historical process data using Ignition and other tools for troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with MES to maintain version control and identify improvements.
• Perform preventive maintenance and support network/configuration issues.
