Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking a Controls Technician to provide electrical and controls support to refinery operations. You will troubleshoot and repair electrical and control systems up to 480V, perform preventive maintenance, and upgrade electronic control systems to maintain safety and reliability.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, testing connections, maintaining MCCs and switchgear, coordinating with maintenance and operations, and updating CMMS with accurate records.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience focused on controls and electronics.
• Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Basic PLC knowledge and ability to use PLC software.
• Able to read one-line diagrams, blueprints and schematics.
• Capable of reading and interpreting technical data for electrical trades.
• Able to work with up to 480V three-phase and single-phase.

Responsibilities

• Read and translate blueprints and one-line diagrams to install outlets, circuits, and load centers.
• Test all connections after installation to ensure proper and safe operation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues in industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and control systems.
• Maintain motor control centers, switchgear, transformers, and generators.
• Update CMMS with accurate plant asset records.
• Coordinate with management, engineers, mechanics, and operators on hazards and schedules.
• Ensure shop safety and orderly maintenance execution.
