Job summary

Mariana Minerals is seeking a Controls Technician to provide electrical and controls support to refinery operations, ensuring safety codes are met. You will run tests, troubleshoot, replace faulty wiring, and perform preventive maintenance on electronic control systems while collaborating with operations and maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience focused on controls and electronics.
• Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, HMIs and industrial networks.
• Basic PLC knowledge and ability to read schematics and one-line diagrams.
• Able to run small/medium projects with PLCs and related hardware.
• Strong troubleshooting, safety, and CMMS documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand and translate building and process diagrams to install circuits and equipment.
• Test connections after installation to ensure safe operation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and control issues on industrial equipment and processes.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and control systems, including calibration.
• Follow local, state and national electrical codes.
• Maintain MCCs, switchgear, robots, transformers and generators.
• Update CMMS records and communicate hazards to management and operators.
• Collaborate with maintenance crew and supervisors to schedule work.
