Job summary

CPG is seeking a Controls Technician II to monitor and service building automation systems at our Houston facilities. You will troubleshoot, verify control parameters, and support advanced installation and commissioning efforts to maintain continuous operations.

The role requires strong electrical/mechanical understanding, hands-on diagnostic work, and the ability to communicate with site management and customers. Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of experience performing Control System / Building Automation/Management System service and repair in data centers, heavy industrial, or pharma/biomed environments.
• Knowledge of data center infrastructure including related HVAC and electrical equipment.
• Preferred experience with Tridium Niagara (AX/N4) or other systems such as ALC, Honeywell, Siemens and instrumentation.
• Experience troubleshooting Control Systems/BAS/BMS including Automated Logic, Honeywell, Siemens, Edstrom, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced expertise in maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing building automation systems.
• Maintain and improve HVAC equipment across mission critical facilities.
• Install, configure, test and maintain application software and system management tools.
• Collaborate with technicians and subcontractors for facility maintenance and repairs.
• Mentor and train less skilled technicians as needed.
• Oversee site infrastructure electrical/mechanical components for operational integrity.
• Participate in test & commissioning phases for validation of programming.
• Perform data integration using BACnet, Modbus, and other field protocols.
