Job summary

CPG in Houston, TX is seeking a Controls Technician III to monitor and troubleshoot building automation systems. You will install, test, and maintain software tools, collaborate with other technicians, and ensure reliability of mission-critical facilities.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in control systems and BAS/BMS, familiarity with Ignition, Aveva, Rockwell, and Tridium Niagara, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 8+ years in Control Systems/BAS/BMS in data centers or heavy industrial settings.
• Experience with data center infrastructure including HVAC and electrical equipment.
• Preferred experience with Ignition, Aveva, Rockwell, Tridium Niagara AX/N4, ALC, Honeywell, Siemens.
• Experience troubleshooting control systems and BAS/BMS platforms (Automated Logic, Honeywell, Siemens, Edstrom).

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and service all aspects of building automation systems at an advanced level.
• Install, configure, test and maintain application software and system management tools.
• Collaborate with technicians and suppliers to perform facility maintenance and repairs.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide technical direction as needed.
• Ensure operational integrity of site infrastructure and participate in test/commissioning phases.
