Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a 2027 summer Controls/Technical Services Engineering Intern to gain hands‑on experience supporting electrical control systems and product development within a global HVAC and industrial cooling context.

You’ll work with engineers and project teams, review specifications, test control solutions, and help with documentation and training materials. A strong candidate is pursuing engineering studies with solid communication and organization skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in a listed engineering field with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work occasionally outside normal hours and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with reviewing and interpreting product specifications and bills of materials.
• Support development and testing of control product solutions and documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and sourcing teams for vendor qualification and compliance.
• Contribute to training materials and reference guides for internal and external users.
• Gain exposure to NPI processes, control system design, and customer-focused solutions.
