Job summary

Magna is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to support electrical, mechanical, and control systems at our Bowling Green, KY facility. You will troubleshoot, install, and maintain automation equipment, reading schematics and operating testing tools to ensure uptime.

We value 5+ years in heavy industrial manufacturing, CAD familiarity, and strong problem-solving. This is a full-time on-site role offering comprehensive benefits and career development within the Cosma/ Magna family.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical college degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • 2-year degree from a technical college or minimum of 5 years on-the-job training with heavy industrial manufacturing facility in skilled trade capacity preferred.

  • Assists in the design of control solutions including both hardware and software.
  • Writes data specifications, operators manuals and acceptance test plans.
  • Installs and troubleshoots mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic components on electrical equipment.

Job Responsibilities

Assists in the design of control solutions including both hardware and software. Writes data specifications, operators manuals and acceptance test plans. Installs and troubleshoots mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic components on electrical equipment.

Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree from a technical college or minimum of 5 years on-the-job training with heavy industrial manufacturing facility in skilled trade capacity preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Operate standard office equipment preferred
  • General knowledge of industrial maintenance with an emphasis on electrical, mechanical or controls application
  • Must have good mathematical and communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand schematics
  • Ability to use testing and troubleshooting equipment
  • Must have a good understanding of rigging, cranes, etc.
  • Must have a general knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Must be able to pay good attention to detail
  • Must have a basic knowledge of drafting (blueprint reading, dimension drawings, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of AUTOCAD
