Johnson Controls International plc. in Huntington Beach, CA, seeks a Controls Systems Team Leader to manage a branch operations team of technicians and designers, assign projects, allocate resources, and ensure on-time delivery within scope.
You will drive safety, integrity, and accountability while coordinating with contractors, clients, and internal stakeholders to achieve consistent project results in a demanding HVAC environment.
Under general direction, the Controls Systems Team Leader manages a branch systems operation team consisting of system technicians and system designers. You will assign projects to lead systems specialists, allocate resources effectively, and provide coordination support on projects with higher contract complexity to help ensure work is delivered safely, ethically, on time, and within scope.
You will own outcomes with accountability, safety, and integrity by setting clear expectations, following through on commitments, and reinforcing safe work practices every day. You will stay close to the work and remove obstacles for customers by coordinating resources, supporting lead systems specialists, and helping projects move forward without unnecessary delay. You will improve every day through candor and problem‑solving by coaching teams, addressing issues early, and supporting practical solutions that keep work accurate, on time, within budget, and within scope. You will win as one team by partnering with system technicians, system designers, lead systems specialists, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to deliver consistent results. Use clear communication and sound judgment when translating technical information for non‑technical stakeholders. Work collaboratively across branch operations to keep project execution aligned with safety, ethics, and customer expectations.
