Controls Systems Engineer Johnson Controls is a global leader in building technologies, HVAC controls, and integrated low-voltage systems. In this role, you will help design and deliver complete building control solutions that support reliable, efficient operations for customers and project teams.
As a Controls Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, configuration, and operation of complete building control systems, including related low-voltage sub-systems such as lighting, nurse call, and data networks. You will work closely with field teams, customers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered with quality, timeliness, and technical accuracy.
Own your work with accountability for quality, timeliness, safety, and integrity. Stay close to the project details and remove obstacles for field teams and customers. Use clear technical judgment to solve problems, improve every day, and keep work moving forward. Collaborate across engineering, field installation, subcontractors, and customers to deliver one coordinated solution. Translate contract requirements into practical design deliverables that are accurate, buildable, and easy to execute in the field. Keep communication proactive so stakeholders understand design decisions, progress, and any issues that could affect delivery. Use a disciplined approach to commissioning and troubleshooting to confirm proper system operation before handoff. Apply value engineering thoughtfully to support cost-effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction.
